TECHNICAL ARCHITECT+

We are currently seeking a Technical Architect with strong professional and production technical skills. The ideal candidate will work with senior staff and other team members in the technical development of the project from the concept design through construction documents and construction administration.

Role also includes:

  • Carrying out independent assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Technical production of drawing sets.
  • Developing original technical solutions and innovations.
  • Working in a collaborative environment, including mentoring junior staff.
  • Communicating and coordinating with various consultants from different trades.
  • Involved in the review of shop drawings and contractor clarifications (RFI) during construction.
  • Potential for travel.
  • Reports to the Project Architect/Project Manager assigned to the project.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-10 years of architectural production technical experience.
  • Knowledge of construction methods.
  • Great verbal presentation skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written, with strong communication skills.
  • Experience working with consultants from various trades.
  • 5 years minimum experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit, developing technical details a plus.

PROJECT ARCHITECT/PROJECT MANAGER+

We are currently seeking a qualified PROJECT ARCHITECT / PROJECT MANAGER with the skills necessary to manage a project and to direct and mentor other team members from the concept design thru construction documents, construction administration and project completion.

Role includes:

  • Oversee the development of the project with the Project Designer.
    • Responsibility for design development and construction documents.
    • Responsible for development of the project specifications.
    • Oversee construction administration activities including:
      • Shop drawing review, and
      • Site observation and reporting.
  • Keep team efforts organized, ensuring quality in project delivery, managing budgets, schedules and fees.
  • Anticipate potential challenges or obstacles and identifying and implementing solutions.
  • Mentor staff, maintain a positive work flow and energetic team atmosphere.
  • Maintain relationships with clients.
  • Communicate professionally with consultants and team members.
  • Reports to the Principal assigned to the project.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of architectural production technical experience with 5 years of organizational and project management experience.
  • Knowledge of construction methods.
  • Design visualization and sensibility, technical and communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written, with strong communication skills.
  • Experience in work with consultants from various trades.
  • Preferences:
    • Bachelor of Architecture degree.
    • Licensed or actively seeking IDP and professional license.
    • 5 years minimum experience in AutoCAD/Revit developing technical details.
    • Commercial and/or retail experience.
