EXB Group, a multi-faceted corporation that focuses on identifying investment opportunities in infrastructure and natural resources, commissioned JPRA, in association with Turnberry Associates, to assist in the interior finish and furniture specifications for the recently renovated Francisco Serrador building on Marina da Gloria in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In this former grand hotel, EBX is consolidating all operations and corporate headquarters under one roof. EBX Group's core investments are in mining, logistics, energy, oil, gas and shipyards.

JPRA was responsible for establishing overall design palettes, selecting finish materials and furniture, as well as coordinating aesthetics, functionality, budget and lead times into a comprehensive furniture and finishes specification package for the entire 23-story building.

In addition, JPRA provided design solutions for the building's entry lobby, therefore enhancing the structure's image on the street; and the elevator lobbies throughout, creating more dynamic shared public and support spaces. JPRA also provided design input for the EBX executive offices, creating dramatic custom design solutions drawing on the views to the city and culture of the country.
