Designer

We are currently seeking an Architectural Designer with substantial professional, creative, and communication skills acquired from prior work experience and education. The ideal candidate will work with senior staff and other team members and is a key contributor to project development.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage the development of a complete package of design documents for assigned projects.

  • Collaborate on project design concepts and ensure consistency with budgetary and time constraints.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Project Manager to develop design adjustments when needed.

  • Work in a collaborative environment, including mentoring junior staff.

  • Communicate and coordinate with various consultants from different trades.

  • Participate in design strategy sessions and/or client meetings and presentations.

  • Potential for travel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Professional degree in Architecture or related field.

  • 3-5 years of architectural design experience.

  • Experience working with consultants from various trades.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strong interpersonal skills; exceptional verbal, listening, and written communication abilities.

  • Proficient in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and InDesign; working knowledge of Enscape and Lumion.

  • Ability to problem-solve.

  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.

  • We work in a team-based environment, which requires successful collaboration, a cooperative spirit, and mutual respect.

  • Potential travel for site observation and meetings may be required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed in a typical office work environment using a PC.
