Senior Project Architect

We are seeking a Senior Project Architect who will serve as a leader with expert-level knowledge and be responsible for leading the development and quality oversight of a project's technical documentation for large, complex projects or multiple smaller projects, ensuring integrated deliverables and compliance verification through team collaboration.​

​SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and monitor the quality review processes of all disciplines for the projects.

  • Coordinate meetings with project and firm leaders, sharing critical information on project status(es). 

  • Conduct quality reviews for all disciplines.

  • Identify, communicate, mitigate, and resolve project-related issues.

  • Guide and assist the project team, effectively managing the quality of the project by conducting reviews, pinups, and technical charettes.

  • Provide guidance and direction to the project team to ensure the firm's document standards and CA policies are being met.

  • Be a proactive resource to the project team in their decision-making processes and support the development of technically sound and innovative solutions.

  • Monitor the progress of all disciplines, including consultants and subcontractors.

  • May act as an in-house peer reviewer within the quality process for other project teams.

  • Mentor project staff to support a culture of continuous quality improvement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

  • Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience, including 10 years in the roles of construction documentation and administration.

  • Experience leading technical aspects of large-scale complex projects.

  • Currently licensed in the United States, with the ability to obtain a Registered Architect license in Michigan.

  • Retail experience is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strong technical leadership with knowledge of building codes and regulations.
    Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project management software

  • Strong collaboration and coordination skills and the ability to build rapport with team members and clients.

  • Must have strong subject matter expertise.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Team-based hybrid work environment (based on performance, hybrid work benefits may be available to new employees after 30 days).

  • Travel for site observation and meetings may be required.
