Project Designer-Retail

We are seeking a Project Designer with extensive professional retail design skills, creativity, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication skills. The ideal candidate will lead project team members, have experience managing projects, and be a key contributor to project development.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage the development of a complete package of design documents for assigned projects.

  • Collaborate on project design concepts and ensure consistency with budgetary and time constraints.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Project Manager to develop design adjustments when needed.

  • Work in a collaborative environment, including mentoring junior staff.

  • Communicate and coordinate with various consultants from different trades.

  • Lead and participate in design strategy sessions and/or client meetings and presentations.

  • Ability to manage projects and review the work of other designers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Professional degree in Architecture or related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of architectural design experience in retail.

  • Experience working with consultants from various trades.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strong people skills; exceptional verbal, listening, and written communication abilities.

  • Proficient in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Proficient in rendering software including Enscape and/or Lumion.
