The Square One Southwest Expansion added a contemporary complement to the luxury wing of one of the largest shopping malls in Canada and the largest mall in Ontario, with over 1.6 million sq ft of retail. Designed to serve as a North American model for world-class mixed-use development, the expansion integrates master planning features including pocket parks, exterior facing storefronts, and pedestrian-friendly streetscapes for the thriving urban city built around this destination shopping center. The grand rotunda entrance provides a dramatic visual anchor to the luxury expansion as shoppers enter the grand lobby and experience the upscale amenities and elegant furnishings leading to the High Street-inspired luxury wing. Anchored by the 120,000 sq ft flagship Holt Renfrew upscale department store, another 75,000 sq ft of aspirational and luxury brands were added.
