The character and culture of the region inspired the design of this massive 1.2 million sq ft shopping and entertainment center, plus 1000+ seat food court. It was one of the first major developments on Tsawwassen First Nations Land. Extraordinary attention to detail characterizes the spirit and culture of the Coast Salish people of Vancouver.

The grand rotunda entrance provides a dramatic visual anchor to the luxury expansion as shoppers enter the grand lobby and experience the upscale amenities and elegant furnishings leading to the High Street-inspired luxury wing. Anchored by the 120,000 sq ft flagship Holt Renfrew upscale department store, another 75,000 sq ft of aspirational and luxury brands were added.

For this fashion destination, JPRA created an elevated dining experience with the launch of the Dine on 3 food collection to deliver a heightened in-centre dining experience with seating for 1,000 shoppers. The design features skylights, a sleek and airy interior incorporates a cozy fireplace, and a terrace. 

Southcentre Mall’s renovation and expansion transformed it into a place of comfort where people can shop in a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. New features to the mall included trendy resting places built using warm woods and rich, soothing colors with video screens, and leather chairs where shoppers relax in comfort, especially in the expansive food court.

CrossIron Mills, just outside Calgary, Alberta, is a 1.12-million sq ft regional shopping destination with more than 200 retailers. This $60-million redevelopment involved relocating the existing food court to the Entertainment district, rebranding it as a food hall, and adding 46,000 sq ft of retail space. The expansion increased the Food Hall vendors and added 200 seats, bringing the dining capacity to 1,300.

This 75,000 sq ft renovation re-imagined how shoppers and visitors experience this 1.5 million sq ft super regional shopping centre. The project relocated and re-imagined the food court to the upper level with a clean, attractive assortment of dining options, plus a new visual separation the famous Méga Parc indoor amusement park. 

This updated two-level Taste MRKT and retail renovation included new food court units, new premium fast-casual restaurants, retail stores, and renovated restrooms and parenting facilities. Clean, sleek updates feature high-end modern materials. The lower level features increased natural light from an expanded two-story view of the skylight above. The upper level provides upscale, patio-style seating under the skylight with a new glass bridge.

Vaughan Mills is a 1.3-million sq ft single-story enclosed shopping centre anchored by 12+ major tenant spaces and 150-200 smaller specialty retail tenant spaces. ​JPRA has been involved with the Vaughan Mills project since its original design, and through two subsequent renovation projects. The food court renovation provided updated materials and finishes, custom seating areas, and modern lighting.
