CrossIron Mills, just outside Calgary, Alberta, is a 1.12-million sq ft regional shopping destination with more than 200 retailers. This $60-million redevelopment involved relocating the existing food court to the Entertainment district, rebranding it as a food hall, and adding 46,000 sq ft of retail space. The expansion increased the Food Hall vendors and added 200 seats, bringing the dining capacity to 1,300.

The new CrossIron Food Hall is a major entry point from the exterior. Features include an eclectic environment with exposed structure, clerestory windows and skylights, high ceiling with open-air feel, specialty food stations/kiosks, a variety of seating (lounge, bar seating, etc.), custom light fixtures, industrial and rustic material, including exposed steel columns and beams, wood, solid surface porcelain tile and stainless steel.
