Vaughan Mills is a 1.3-million sq ft single-story enclosed shopping centre anchored by 12+ major tenant spaces and 150-200 smaller specialty retail tenant spaces. This strategy created a blend of tenants, manufacturer and retail outlets, value retailers, full-price retailers with food and entertainment venues, and positioned them in a race-track floor plan to differentiate this shopping center from others in the Greater Toronto Area.
JPRA Architects has been involved with the Vaughan Mills project since its original design, and through two subsequent renovation projects. The food court renovation provided updated materials and finishes, custom seating areas, and modern lighting. The recent renovation was nominated by ICSC for an award showcasing the best Shopping Centre expansion and renovation projects in Canada.
