William Beitz, Jr., AIA, OAA, AAA
Bill oversees all management responsibilities, architecture, construction administration and technical research for JPRA Architects, and serves as President/CEO of JPRA Architecture, ULC in Canada. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture Professional degrees from Lawrence Technological University. Mr. Beitz is a registered Architect in 25 states, and the Provinces of Ontario and Alberta, Canada.
Jim provides overview to the planning and design of all JPRA projects along with the management responsibilities for the firm. His thirty years of retail planning experience blend the unique perspectives of architecture and development, having spent seven years with The Taubman Company working on developments throughout the east coast and Midwest. Mr. Grigsby is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University School of Architecture and is a Registered Architect in thirteen states. Mr. Grigsby is a member of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, along with other professional and industry related organizations.
Dan is responsible for overseeing major projects from the design concept through construction administration. Mr. Rodriguez’s 25+ years of retail experience include regional shopping centers, village concept centers, overbuilds, value centers, and anchor stores. Mr. Rodriguez is a graduate of University of Detroit, where he received both his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Architecture degrees. He is a registered Architect in Michigan and New York, and is a member of the National Council of Architects Review Board (NCARB) and the American Institute of Architects. Dan is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
As the director of JPRA’s design studio, Mr. Tysowski directs and manages architecture, interiors and environmental graphic design efforts for the firm. As a hands-on team member and leader for the past 25 years, Greg has been involved with people-oriented design for a diverse collection of projects both nationally and internationally from small boutiques, restaurants, hospitality and entertainment venues to sport stadiums, museums, and large retail and mixed-use developments. Mr. Tysowski is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University. He is a registered architect in the state of Michigan, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Sue oversees the planning segment of all JPRA projects and, as a result, much of her energy is focused on working with developers and major anchors in the resolution of site planning and related operating agreement issues. These efforts are combined with her expertise in building programming, zoning, and resolution of site-specific issues. Sue received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and her Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan. Ms. Neumann joined JPRA Architects in 1995 and became a Registered Architect in the State of Michigan in 1997. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Brian joined JPRA Architects as a designer in 1985. During his tenure he became head of the retail design studio and worked on numerous award-winning projects. After leaving JPRA in 1999, Brian started his own firm specializing in master planning, custom residential design and resort architecture. Prior to returning to JPRA in 2009, he served as Vice President and Director of Architecture for Ford & Earl Associates; while there he developed a hospitality and resort studio. Brian’s broad scope of a multi-disciplined design background gives him the ability to quickly identify and solve the client’s needs from the programming/feasibility phase through construction. Brian is a member of the American Institute of Architects Michigan Chapter.
Mr. Stouder has over 30 years of experience in the architecture and construction industry. Gregg oversees all aspects of project management, project scheduling, budget control, quality control, development of bid documents and the monitoring of construction activities. Prior to his role of Principal at JPRA Architects, Gregg was a co-founder at his own firm and a Vice President at an international design firm where he led all technical aspects of architecture on national and international projects encompassing commercial, retail, industrial and mixed-use projects. Previously, Mr. Stouder held key management positions with several architecture firms specializing in municipal and commercial office facilities.
Mark serves as Principal, providing input during all phases of construction process including project design development, assembly and coordination of JPRA project and consultation teams, client coordination, architectural construction documents, coordination with regulation agencies and construction administration/field coordination. Mr. von Werder received his undergraduate degree from Lawrence Technological University's School of Architecture and went on to complete his graduate studies at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Scott serves as project architect/project manager on many of the firm’s diverse retail and mixed-use projects. With over 20 years of experience in many disciplines at JPRA, Scott routinely organizes project teams, develops construction documents and coordinates with consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies. He is also well-versed in the cutting-edge Building Information Modeling and Revit-Architecture program. Scott graduated from Lawrence Technological University with both a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Architecture; he is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
Eileen contributes to the interior design efforts at the firm, providing input during all phases of the design and construction process. Her responsibilities include extensive involvement with the client, local municipalities, contractors and key JPRA design and production team members. Eileen has over 25 years experience in a diverse array of projects, both local & international, that include custom retail, restaurant/hospitality, corporate, educational, private clubs and residential design. Eileen received her Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, is a member of USGBC, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
As a senior associate of the firm, and an experienced member of the production department, Louis serves as project architect/project manager on large retail and mixed-use projects. His career experience has been in many disciplines of the architectural and engineering industry. At JPRA, Louis is responsible for organizing and managing project teams, overseeing development of construction documents and coordination with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies throughout the various phases of design and construction administration. Louis earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. He is a licensed architect in the State of Michigan and is a National NCARB certificate holder.
Adam brings extensive architectural and interior design experience to JPRA from his work on noteworthy projects across the US and Europe, including Italy, Germany, Spain, and Turkey. His portfolio as a creative director includes retail shopping centers, renovations and expansions, retail stores, and features fresh, innovative food and beverage solutions. Adam is a member of ASAI (American Society of Architectural Illustrators).
Adam earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University.
Scott is primarily responsible for input on all design presentations and 3D visualization. Scott also manages all in-house training for 3D / Graphic software. As a designer, he is involved with many retail, office, entertainment and mixed-use projects at JPRA. He received dual Bachelor degrees from Lawrence Technological University in both Architecture and Architectural Imaging/Illustration and is working on his Master of Architecture degree. Scott is a member of ASAI (American Society of Architectural Illustrators).
Ken Zawislak was a Senior Associate at JPRA Architects/JPRA Design (Canada). He began his design career at Peterhansrea Design where he was involved in many notable restaurant and retail projects in Metro Detroit and across the country. He joined JPRA Architects in 1995, and over 20+ years Ken’s creativity, hands-on attention to detail, and finesse when coordinating complicated architectural design projects left a lasting imprint on the retail landscape across the continent. Notable projects which bear his design influence include Vaughan Mills, CrossIron Mills, and his final project, Tsawwassen Mills.
Ken is missed at JPRA where his colleagues remember him fondly for his inspirational talent and mentorship.
As manager of Information Technology, John evaluates and purchases all Information Technology equipment and software for the firm. He is responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network, servers and workstation hardware. Additionally, he configures and provides training for all software applications including Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and SQL database systems. John developed and maintains all office CAD/BIM standards, symbol libraries and documentation; he evaluates the need for and develops and implements all software customization and application programming. He trains staff in systems operation, BIM/CAD applications, custom applications and design standards. John earned a Bachelor of Science of Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University and graduated with honors from Control Data Institute in Computer Programming and Operations.
David serves as a project manager for some of JPRA's most expansive retail and mixed-use projects across the country. Noteworthy among his recent and current projects are onsite project management of the new International Market Place in Oahu, Hawaii; and Westfield's Valley Fair renovation and expansion in currently underway in California. He has coordinated project teams from schematic design through construction administration. He provides continual contact with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, assists junior staff, oversees the development of construction documents, and provides construction administration.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology at Lawrence Technological University.
Jeremy is primarily responsible for providing design input, digital renderings, working with a variety of consultants, and communication with clients. His retail design experience covers all phases of projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
Jeremy earned the following degrees from Lawrence Technological University: a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Architectural Imaging, and a Masters of Architecture.
Aaron is involved in all phases of the design and production process with an emphasis on creating complete construction document sets. He is responsible for creating specifications and construction administration in retail and mixed-use developments in both new construction and existing renovation, and expansion projects. Aaron serves as project architect on large retail projects and actively works with clients and coordinates consultants to achieve maximum client satisfaction and desired outcome.
Aaron graduated from Lawrence Technological University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master’s Degree in Architecture. He is studying for the Architectural Registration Examination for the State of Michigan.
Mike leads project teams for expansive retail and mixed-use projects across North America, including the Westfield Valley Fair renovation/expansion in San Jose, CA; and the Foothills Mall Redevelopment in Fort Collins, CO. Mike brings his experience in both the architecture and construction industries to guide project deliverables, project scheduling, budget and quality control, , bid document development, and construction oversight. Mike’s career experience also includes a diverse range of projects including emergency operation centers, K-12 educational facilities, universities, court houses, Air National Guard Base renovations/additions, and cold storage facilities.
Mike earned his Master of Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University.
Tom’s expertise spans a full spectrum of client services from conceptual design to construction documentation/administration. Tom is responsible for managing and organizing construction documentation for large retail renovations, as well as many smaller projects, including student housing and corporate offices.
Tom received both his Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. He maintains LEED AP® BD+C certification. He is studying for the Architectural Registration Examination for the State of Michigan.
John’s critical eye for multi-disciplined coordination gives him the ability to solve problems in the developmental stages of projects in preparation for a successful construction phase. John provides a seamless integration of clients’ program-driven requirements from design through construction.
During his tenure at JPRA, John has worked on many award-winning projects. John began his career at Albert Kahn and Associates working on multimillion dollar commercial and institutional projects. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological Institute.
Carrie earned her Master of Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University. Her diverse background in retail and mixed-use development, as well as commercial design and custom residential interiors, has provided JPRA Architects with unique expertise and creativity to meet the vision of our clientele. Carrie is highly skilled in the areas of space planning, custom millwork, lighting, and coordination with suppliers and other consultants.
As the firm’s Controller, Sheila directs JPRA’s financial affairs and prepares financial analysis of all operations. She supervises all accounting, auditing, and budgetary functions. Sheila earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Michigan Dearborn, her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Detroit College of Business, and her Master of Science in Taxation from Walsh College.
Ted earned his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. Ted has been design lead for Square One Expansion, CrossIron Food Hall & Fashion Retail, and Scarborough Town Centre Mall Expansion and is the design lead for the Woodland Mall Expansion. Ted has nearly 20 years of architectural experience that includes planning, design, construction documentation and construction administration. He has expertise in technical documentation and exceptional skills in detail.
Don oversees the construction documentation process by collaborating with team members and consultants to ensure an accurate understanding of the design intent, and that requirements and expectations are met. His experience as a project manager includes oversight and coordination, development and execution of construction documents for some of the most complex retail projects in North America. The quality of his work, his skill managing expansive projects, and his expertise on all phases of a project make him an invaluable asset to any JPRA project.
Don also has experience with commercial, municipal, religious, healthcare, and educational projects. He earned an Associate in Science degree in Architectural Construction from Henry Ford Community College.
Matt provides exceptional work leading the visioning and design for JPRA’s signage projects, collaborating with the firm’s designers, and facilitating client relationships. His environmental graphics, wayfinding programs, and signage creativity and expertise has been showcased across North America, including recently, Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Tsawwassen Mills in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Matt’s Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is from Western Michigan University.
